Lindola Shawl
I don't know about you, but I have a wonderful mother-in-law! Lindola Chisam's family has owned her beautiful property for over 100 years & she continues to live on the land she loves. "Lin", or "Rat", as she's known by some, is a fierce & loyal protector of her family and those she takes under her wings, even now, into her 80s. And she loves so very deeply. I am so grateful to have married her son. When I saw the colors of this Gingersnap yarn, I immediately knew I would make something for Lin. She's as vibrant as these color ways. This 2-skein shawl is designed to be mostly “mindless”, so you can knit & chat with your friends or watch Netflix or whatever! It’s simple enough for a beginner’s first shawl, and advanced knitters might be able to knit the whole thing without looking at your stitches. If you can do garter, stockinette, and a simple increase, this shawl is for you! I love knitting with friends, and this shawl lets me knit away in happiness!
Skills needed: knit, purl, knit front & back, slip stitches with yarn in front, yarn over
